Commission an original 11 x 14 inch Artifactism™ portrait of yourself and the people you love.

You and your spouse or partner. A parent and child. Your children. Your family. Or someone special.

During the event, Dirk will photograph those appearing in your portrait and use that photograph as the reference for an original illustration inspired by the elegant portraiture of Titanic's era. Can't attend? Commissions may also be purchased without an event ticket. Payment in full is required at checkout, and you will send a clear reference photo of each person to be included by replying to your confirmation email.

Each portrait is drawn entirely by hand on archival paper using a traditional steel-nib pen. Before the drawing begins, pigment made from authentic Titanic coal is dropped into the ink well, so every line of your portrait is drawn with Titanic-infused ink.

Your portrait contains the DNA of Titanic. And because authentic Titanic material becomes part of your original artwork, your portrait itself becomes a Titanic artifact.

The creation of your portrait, including the moment the Titanic pigment enters the ink, will be video recorded.

Every portrait is signed by Dirk Strangely and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

Portraits ship unframed and flat on December 17, fully insured with tracking and signature confirmation, for a flat $35 within the US. Free local pickup is available at Paulette Café. They make extraordinary personal keepsakes or one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts.

One guest will become its subject.

Guests will watch the portrait develop from the first lines of the steel-nib pen, drawn in ink infused with authentic Titanic coal pigment.

Witness the moment the artwork receives the DNA of Titanic and becomes a Titanic artifact.

The portrait will be completed during the event, and its owner will take it home that same evening.

The finished artwork will be signed, video documented and accompanied by a special Certificate of Authenticity documenting its distinction as the first Artifactism™ artwork created live before an audience.
